We stayed at Breezes after a safari in Tanzania.
Very relaxing place. All staff are extremely friendly. Decor is beautiful, African furniture with Zanzibar silk cushions etc. Beach is beautiful with white sand and turquoise seas. Not great for swimming in the afternoon as the tide goes out but then you can walk out into the coral and admire the tropical fish. Pool area is also lovely.
Evening entertainment is low key with a band playing at dinner (both band and dinner are different every night). The standard of food was excellent and varied so much so that we didn’t feel the need to splash out in either of the two “extra” restaurants.
Spa, yoga, snorkelling and scuba are also available. Not a place for kids as there is little for them to do but certainly everything for the grown ups to chill out.
Overall excellent place. Do take a trip to Stone town to see a bit of the real Zanzibar though. We stayed in Tembo Hotel also excellent.
